A bar sign has one job: make people look up from their phone. Neon does that better than anything else on the wall, and LED neon does it without the heat, the fragile glass or the electrician.
We have made signs for bars, restaurants, cafes and food trucks since 2014. Below is what works, what it costs, and how to order one.
What bars and restaurants order from us
Logo signs. Your logo in neon, on a clear backing so the wall shows through. The most common order, usually 36 to 48 inches wide for a back bar or feature wall.
Back-bar and feature-wall pieces. A phrase, a cocktail, a slogan: "Shaken not stirred", "Tacos & Tequila", "Open late". These are the signs that end up in your customers' photos, so think about where the camera will stand.
Window and storefront signs. Open signs, "Cocktails", "Oysters", "Pizza by the slice". Bright enough to read from across the street, dimmable for the daytime.
Menu and section signs. "Order here", "Pick up", "Restrooms", "Patio" in neon instead of vinyl. Small, cheap and they get noticed.
Outdoor signs. A waterproof build for patios, entrances and exterior walls, with an outdoor-rated power supply.

What a bar sign costs
Bar and restaurant signs usually land between $500 and $1,100. Width decides most of it.
| Width | Typical price |
|---|---|
| 24 to 35 inches | $355 to $545 |
| 36 to 47 inches | $520 to $960 |
| 48 to 59 inches | $700 to $1,345 |
Prices are from the quotes we sent in the last three months and include express shipping, a remote dimmer, the power supply and mounting hardware. See the full price guide.
Why LED neon for a bar
- Bright, and dimmable. 50,000-hour LED tube with a remote dimmer, so it reads in daylight and glows at night.
- Cool to the touch and low power. No transformer humming behind the bar.
- No glass. It ships in a box, survives the trip, and survives the Friday night crowd.
- Any color, any font, any logo. Single color, two color or RGB color-changing.
- Real glass if you want it. For a vintage look we also make hand-bent glass neon, shipped within the US and Canada.
How it works
- Send your logo or idea. Upload a file or describe it. No file needed to start.
- Get a priced proof within one business day. We draw the sign, size it for your wall and send the price.
- Approve and pay. Revisions are free until it is right.
- It arrives in 10 to 12 days. Hang it with the included hardware. Done.
Tips from 12 years of bar signs
- Size it for the room, not the logo. A 24-inch sign on a 12-foot back bar disappears. Measure the wall, then tell us where it goes; we will suggest a size.
- Keep the line weight even. Logos with hairline detail do not translate to tube. We simplify the artwork in the proof and show you before anything is made.
- Think about the photo. The sign your customers post is your best ad. Put it where people stand, at eye level, with a plain wall behind it.
- Use the dimmer. It is included. A sign at 100% in a dark room is harsh; most bars run around 60%.
- Plan the power. A 6-foot clear cord and a 12 V plug-in supply come standard. Hard-wired supplies are available if your electrician wants a clean install.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a neon sign for a bar cost?
Most bar signs cost between $500 and $1,100 depending on width and detail. A short phrase at 30 inches is around $450; a detailed logo at 48 inches is around $1,000.
Can a neon sign go in a window?
Yes. LED neon is bright enough to read from the street and the dimmer lets you turn it down during the day. For a sign that faces the weather, order the outdoor build.
How long does a neon bar sign last?
The LED tube is rated for 50,000 hours, about 11 years at 12 hours a night. Every sign carries a 2-year warranty, extendable to 4.
Do you make signs for restaurant chains?
Yes. We have produced sign programs for American Eagle, Delta, Bacardi and Charleys Cheesesteaks. For 10 signs or more, use the bulk quote form.
Can you match our brand colors?
We offer 23 LED colors plus RGB. Send your brand color and we will match it to the closest tube and show it in the proof.
Is a neon sign safe near drinks and customers?
LED neon runs on 12 V, stays cool and has no glass. It is safe to touch.
